Shanna Arani

Shanna Arani, ASW

Associate Clinical Social Worker

Shanna specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. As a Farsi-speaking therapist, she is particularly passionate about supporting individuals and families facing stressors influenced by cultural expectations, immigration experiences, identity development, intergenerational dynamics, and the unique challenges that can arise when balancing multiple cultural perspectives.

Grounded in a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, Shanna integrates client-centered and collaborative care to help individuals develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, improve self-awareness, establish meaningful boundaries, and build more fulfilling relationships. She approaches therapy through an intersectional lens, recognizing how culture, race, gender, family systems, and lived experiences shape mental health and personal growth.

Shanna believes that healing occurs within the context of safe, authentic human connection. She is committed to creating a supportive and culturally responsive therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to build resilience, navigate life’s challenges, and create lasting, meaningful change.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and being in nature. I especially value time in the mountains and the sense of grounding and perspective they provide.
